On behalf of the team and the coaching staff, I would like to extend an invitation to you to join us for, the annual Lubbers’ Cup Regatta, and our annual spring banquet. Both events are going to take place on Saturday, March 31, 2007 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Lubbers’ Cup Regatta is raced downtown in Riverside Park. We will be hosting the University of Michigan’s men, the University of Western Ontario’s men and women, Michigan State’s men and club women and the University of Western Michigan’s club team. As in the past, we expect the weather to be cold and the racing to be fast. The first race starts at 10:30am and finishes around 3:00pm. organisms in domain bacteria . Directions to the course and a racing schedule will available on our team website during the week leading up to the event. Hopefully you will be able to attend the race and cheer on the team.

Following the regatta we host our annual spring banquet at The Harbourfront Grand Hall along the Grand River in Grand Haven, MI. Greetings and happy hour start at 6:00pm and the banquet starts at 7:30pm. This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet the coaches, the athletes, administrators and the alumni. This event is used to showcase past and upcoming season’s highlights, present awards, honor the graduating class and become inspired for the spring season. This year, we are very fortunate to have former Grand Valley coaches and alumnus Chad Jedlic, MBA’04 and Brie Jedlic as our guest speakers. Chad and Brie will also bring their daughters Lily and the newest addition to their family, Zoe.

Tickets to the banquet are $25 per person. Hopefully this weekend sounds like an offer you cannot resist. If you have any questions, feel free to call or email the rowing office at or 616.331.2369.
