(entire program) Sunday, October 16 Races start at 8:30am (approx.) and last all day.
Team leaves at 6am from Kirkhof Center by bus and van.

Selection:
Men = Top 4 pairs and next best unweighted ergometer scores “Engine Test”.
Women = 10 fastest port and starboard weighted ergometer scores for 1 x 20′ “Fitness Test”.

Meals on own
3 – 15 passenger vans. The athletes will require passports to transit through Canada. This saves about two hours in travel.
Leave after classes on Thursday, October 20 and return in time for classes on Monday, October 24, 2011
Friday: Row out of MIT Boathouse at 3:00pm
Team, Family, Alumni and friends dinner at “Fire and Ice” in Harvard Square. Approximately at 5:30pm.
Saturday: Approximately at 11:00am – Watch Men’s Alumni Eight Race from Reunion Row and then an early Dinner with Alumni.
Sunday
Students can choose to fly to/from Boston, MA as long as they arrive BOS by noon on Friday, October 21 and depart after 6pm on Sunday, October 23 or early am on the 24th.
All Housing Provided.


Homecoming Weekend
Friday Night from 7:00pm – Cocktail party for Alums and Friends at Coach B. Home 11333 River Ridge Drive (close to the boathouse)
Homecoming Alumni/Class Challenge at 10:00am Christening of the “Danny Vainner” and “Mike Stoll” pair oared shell. Noon Paul Springer Scholarship Luncheon at 12:30pm GVSU Rowing Club RTC- Rowing Training Center. The RTC is located at 4281 Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale (across from the Arch) RTC Tailgate – all afternoon to the game.

(varsity not going to Boston and all novice)

Team leaves on 2 charter buses from KC at 1:00am.
Races start at 9am.
Team returns late that evening.


20th Annual Wichita Frostbite Regatta – Wichita, KS

Womens Team: Housing with the family of varsity captain, Carey Mankins
Men’s Team: Housing with Wichita State alums who rowed for Coach B.
Travel Info:
Team Leaves Friday, November 4 after classes by charter bus from the Kirkhof Center.
Team returns Monday, November 7 early am for classes.

Races start at 8:00am and usually go to 3:00pm (weather permitting)


GV Frostbite Regatta
(entire program – This is a series of 1500 meter scrimmage races with Michigan State – club men and ?) Saturday, November 12 10am – 1pm ish(after duck hunters leave:))

GVSU Rowing Winter “Technical” Training Camp
(Top 12 women on the ergometer plus 3 coxswains)= 3 Fours with coxswain and 3 coaches.
Housing with GVSU Alumni and Friends in the Sarasota/Osprey, FL area
Alumni Housing Coordinator is Bob Monaghan’64

Meals: Some meals will be provided. You will need to purchase staples to stock at your host home. Plan on a $20 per day budget.

By Van: $100. donation to the GVSU Rowing Club plus you cover your own meals (going Dutch:)).
Van leaves for Florida on Wednesday, December 28 and stops overnight in Atlanta.
Arrive Sarasota/Bradenton area in pm of Thursday, December 29, 2011
Van leaves on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 7:00am. Stop in Atlanta overnight. Arrive in Allendale on Saturday, January 7 at 5:00pm
