In my four years at Grand Valley, rowing has been a huge part of my life. When asked how I felt it has affected my college experience, all I could think of was all of the amazing things I have done with this team that no one else I know has done. I have traveled all over the country and seen so many different things. I have learned about more time management, teamwork, determination, and perseverance than I have ever experienced. I have tried new things that I never believed possible, and worked harder than I have in my entire life. This experience has been invaluable to me. It will help me for the rest of my life and has done nothing but enhance my education. In the process I have made amazing friends that are like a family; I can count on them for anything. In the whole process I became a part of something more than myself. I am now part of the Grand Valley legacy.
